Lynsey Addario

Lynsey Addario is an American photojournalist whose work has covered conflict, humanitarian crises and women’s lives across the Middle East, Africa and Ukraine for more than two decades. She works on assignment for publications including The New York Times and National Geographic. Her reporting combines close observation with long-term engagement and has received a MacArthur Fellowship and major awards in international journalism. Addario is also the author of the memoir It’s What I Do and the photographic collection Of Love & War.
