Chris Burkard

Chris Burkard is an explorer, photographer, creative director, speaker and author whose work focuses on outdoor, travel, adventure, surf and lifestyle subjects. He is known for images of remote, powerful landscapes that invite viewers to reconsider their relationship with nature and the preservation of wild places. Burkard’s practice spans editorial stories, global brand campaigns, films, books, exhibitions and public speaking. He works internationally and is based with his family in Reykjavík, Iceland, while maintaining a production studio and gallery operation.
